Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons Farmhouse Infused Olive Oil Blend
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Cooking spray or a little olive oil for the baking dish

Equipment

  • 1 baking dish lightly greased
  • 3 Small bowl for coating mixtures
  • 1 whisk for egg mixture
  • 1 Measuring spoons standard set
  • 1 Meat thermometer for doneness check

Method

Instructions
  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. 2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and place them on a plate.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, stir together the Farmhouse Infused Olive Oil Blend, melted butter, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and paprika.
  4. 4. In a separate bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and parsley.
  5. 5. In another bowl, whisk the egg with the milk.
  6. 6. Brush the pork chops on both sides with the olive oil mixture.
  7. 7. Dip each chop into the egg mixture, then press both sides into the breadcrumb mixture until well coated.
  8. 8. Arrange the coated pork chops in the prepared baking dish and spoon any remaining onion and oil mixture over the top.
  9. 9. Bake for 22 to 28 minutes, until the pork is cooked through and the crust is golden. The internal temperature should reach 145°F.
  10. 10. Rest the pork chops for 5 minutes before serving so the juices settle.

Notes

Use evenly sized pork chops so they finish baking at the same pace. If your chops are very thick, add a few extra minutes and check the center temperature before serving. The Farmhouse Infused Olive Oil Blend brings the savory herb backbone, so keep the seasoning straightforward and let the crust do the work.
