Instructions
- 1. Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, water, and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
- 2. Heat the Hawaiian Kona Grill Infused Olive Oil Blend and neutral oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- 3. Add the onion, bell peppers, broccoli, zucchini, and carrots. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 4. Stir-fry the vegetables for 5 to 7 minutes until crisp-tender and lightly browned in spots.
- 5. Add the garlic and ginger, then stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 6. Pour in the sauce and toss constantly until it thickens and coats the vegetables, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- 7. Divide the rice among bowls and spoon the teriyaki vegetables over the top.
- 8. Finish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve right away.
Notes
For the best texture, keep the vegetables moving in the pan and do not overcook them. If you want a saucier bowl, make a second half batch of the teriyaki sauce and add it after the vegetables are cooked. The featured blend carries the island-style flavor here, so add it at the start of cooking for the fullest aroma.
