Golden sourdough, sweet caramelized onions, nutty Gruyère, and buttery Parmesan come together in this cozy sandwich with real French onion flavor. Roasted Onion & Garlic Infused Olive Oil Blend deepens the onions, brings savory roasted garlic notes into the skillet, and helps the whole sandwich taste rich, layered, and extra satisfying. It is the kind of lunch or dinner that feels easy enough for a weekday but still special enough for a relaxed dinner at home.

Cook the onions slowly until they turn deeply golden and sweet before assembling the sandwiches. Use medium-low heat for the bread so the cheese melts before the outside gets too dark.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this grilled cheese with tomato soup, a crisp green salad, or a handful of kettle chips for a simple, comforting meal.
Storage
This sandwich is best enjoyed right away. If you need to hold it briefly, keep it warm on a rack in a low oven so the crust stays crisp.
Variations
Swap Gruyère for Fontina or Swiss cheese, or add a thin layer of Dijon mustard for a sharper finish. A little chopped thyme can be tucked into the onions for extra herbal aroma.
