Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 15-ounce cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3 to 5 tablespoons warm water
  • 2 tablespoons Garden Infuzions Middle Eastern Infused Olive Oil Blend plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon toasted pine nuts optional
  • Warm pita for serving

Equipment

  • 1 food processor For blending the hummus until smooth
  • 1 Mixing bowl For holding the hummus before serving
  • 1 Serving bowl Shallow bowl works best for the oil drizzle
  • 1 set Measuring cups and spoons For accurate ingredient portions

Method

Instructions
  1. Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, Greek yogurt, garlic, salt, cumin, and 2 tablespoons of the olive oil blend to a food processor.
  2. Process until the mixture starts to look smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. With the motor running, add warm water 1 tablespoon at a time until the hummus becomes creamy and easy to spread.
  4. Spoon the hummus into a shallow serving bowl and create a small well in the center with the back of a spoon.
  5. Drizzle the remaining olive oil blend over the top, then finish with parsley and pine nuts if using.
  6. Serve right away with warm pita or your favorite crisp vegetables.

Notes

Warm the hummus gently for the best texture, but do not overheat it. If you want a looser consistency, add warm water slowly rather than all at once. The featured blend should be used as the main finishing flavor, not cooked hard or buried under heavy toppings.
